Located in the South West of England, Dorset is a county with a population of approximately 710,000 covering an estimated area of 1,024 square miles. Dorset borders with the counties of Hampshire, Wiltshire, Somerset, and Devon. Bournemouth is the largest town in Dorset followed by Poole as the second.
Dorset is well known for its Jurassic coastline and miles and miles of beautiful beaches that stretch from Bournemouth through to Weymouth and beyond and include Lulworth, Chesil Beach, Kimmeridge Bay, Sandbanks, and Charmouth. It is also well known for its fertile farmland and historic villages and monasteries which were once the main hub of life in Dorset.
